Job summary

Elan Partners is seeking a Security Operations Engineer for a full‑time onsite role in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This hands‑on position targets an early‑career security professional with experience in vulnerability scanning, security operations, and a drive to broaden into cloud security, automation, and regulated environments.

You will work with U.S. and international teams, perform remediation with engineering partners, and help reduce security exposure through prioritized findings, tooling

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in Security Operations or Vulnerability Management.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus/Tenable, Sysdig.
• Foundational understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and securing cloud environments.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized environments.
• Ability to investigate findings and prioritize risks; strong communication with engineers.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 or similar structured security/compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Scripting experience in Python or Bash is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain vulnerability-scanning tools across web applications, infrastructure/network and containerized environments.
• Analyze scan results, identify false positives and prioritize remediation by risk.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive remediation and closure.
• Track remediation timelines and maintain security SLAs.
• Support FedRAMP and compliance activities with evidence collection and reporting.
• Develop automation to improve vulnerability workflows.
