Job summary

Tailscale is seeking a security operations engineer to grow our security team and help keep our distributed environment safe. You’ll work asynchronously, collaborate with highly technical teams, and tackle device management, access control, and data loss prevention across macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Qualifications

• Security-related or adjacent technical role experience.
• Knowledge of IAM protocols and security controls.
• Experience with MDM products such as Jamf, Kandji, Fleet, Intune.

Responsibilities

• Device Management including MDM policies, BYOD, patch/vulnerability management.
• Support for Google Workspace, Jira, GitHub platforms.
• Process automation such as self-service access and patching.
• Manage Access with OIDC, SAML, SCIM.
• Data Loss Prevention and mitigation activities.
• Oversee tech decisions with Engineering Leadership to align with IT standards.
