Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring a SOC Officer to monitor security events from a centralized operations center. Shift is Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm to 7:00am, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. This role requires vigilance, clear reporting, and strong teamwork.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years in SOC or related fields, a high school diploma, proficiency with CCTV/VMS, access control, alarms, and incident logging, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in SOC, security operations, dispatch, law enforcement, or a similar monitoring environment.
• High school diploma/GED; associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Emergency Management, etc. is a plus.
• Experience with CCTV/VMS, access control, alarms, radios, intercoms, and security software.
• Strong written documentation and report-writing.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating 24/7 shifts.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow SOPs, escalation procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and incident logs from the SOC to detect and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate with on-site security staff and clients as needed.
• Maintain accurate reports, logs, and handovers for shift changes.
• Escalate incidents following SOPs and confidentiality rules.
