Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Arlington, VA seeks a Security Operations Center Analyst I to monitor devices, manage incidents, and coordinate recovery across government networks. The role requires DoD IAT Level II certification and a DoD Secret Clearance with potential TS/SCI eligibility.

You'll work with a suite of security tools including FireEye, Splunk, Wireshark, Palo Alto, and Nessus, in a 24/7 NOSC environment supporting national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; DoD IAT Level II certification required.
• DoD Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 2+ years of relevant security operations experience.
• Experience monitoring security devices and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor devices and applications via dashboards on program networks.
• Perform event and incident management per procedures.
• Conduct backup and recovery procedures as needed.
• Analyze network events within program networks.
• Report outages or incidents per guidelines.
• Utilize SIEM for security event monitoring and analysis.
• Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents; coordinate containment and recovery.
• Use security/operational analytics tools for log collection and alerting.
• Provide additional NOSC Lead tasks as directed.
• Provide mobile phone support including SIM activation/deactivation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all identified devices and applications via provided dashboards on program networks

• Perform event and incident management in accordance with established processes and procedures

• Conduct backup and recovery procedures as needed

• Analyze network events within all program networks

• Report outages or incidents following guidelines and procedures

• Responsible for security event monitoring utilizing SIEM toolsets

• Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents, coordinate with other stakeholders forcontaining, eradicating, and recovering from an incident

• Utilize security and operational analytics tools for log collection,analysis, and alerting

• Performadditionaltasks or duties as directed by the NOSC Lead

• Provide Mobile Phone support to include activating and deactivating SIM cards

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. An associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience OR

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute.

• 2+ years relevant experience.

• DoD IAT Level II Certification is required.

• DoD Secret Clearance is required with the ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with a variety of security tools such as: FireEye, Wireshark, NetWitness, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, F5, tcpdump, Snort, Splunk, EMET, Bit9/Carbon Black, Stealth Watch, IronPort, McAfee ePO, Microsoft Defender, XSOAR, Nessus, Extrahop, OpenText NDR

• 24/7 NOSC environment and understanding how it works while supporting commercial or government clients.

• Cyber threat capabilities and technical capabilities to defend networks and systems.

• Network operating systems, SLOs, and service expertise.
