Chenega MIOS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead standup, supervision, and daily operations of a small team supporting the SAP/CAP IT footprint. Responsibilities include fault/performance monitoring and rapid incident remediation across UNIX and Windows environments.

The role requires experience with EM monitoring tools and incident reporting, plus the ability to coordinate engineering changes with cybersecurity teams. On-site Springfield, VA position with DoD clearance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED with 8+ years relevant experience
  • Operational experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community
  • DoD 8140 / IAT Level I
  • Security+ CE (within 6 months)
  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact across customer, contract, and vendor meetings.
  • Execute continuous fault/performance monitoring and proactive event management across the footprint using EM standard tools to ensure high availability.
  • Lead rapid incident triage, track outages, and author post-incident RCA and AARs.
  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize customer network and infrastructure across UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Coordinate engineering recommendations to adapt network and system architecture for EM integration and performance.
  • Manage hardware and software asset baselines and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
  • Perform other mission-related operational duties as assigned.

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking an Senior Systems Engineer who will lead the standup, supervision, and daily operational execution of a dedicated 2-FTE Operations Team supporting thePGG Special Access Program / Controlled Access Program (SAP/CAP) IT footprint. This role eliminates mission partner hesitancy and prevents mission degradation by delivering continuous fault/performance monitoring, rapid incident remediation, root cause analysis (RCA), and architecture integration across UNIX/Windows infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor operations personnel supporting a SAP/CAP IT environment, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), shift coverage, and escalation workflows.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact across customer, contract, and vendor meetings.
  • Execute continuous fault/performance monitoring and proactive event management across the customer footprint using Enterprise Management (EM) standard tools to ensure high availability during training exercises and live missions.
  • Lead rapid incident triage, track and report system outages/Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and author post-incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and After-Action Reports (AARs).
  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize customer network and infrastructure systems, including routers, switches, bridges, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and security appliances across UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Architect, coordinate, and implement technical integrations between EM monitoring tools, incident ticketing platforms, and automated email alerting pipelines.
  • Provide technical analysis and coordinate engineering recommendations to adapt network and system architecture for enhanced EM integration and overall performance.
  • Manage hardware and software asset baselines while collaborating with cybersecurity and engineering teams to preserve configuration integrity.
  • Perform other mission-related operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 8+ years relevant experience
    • Operational experience with ServiceNow
    • Experience in the Intelligence Community
  • DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01-M), IAT Level I
  • Security+ CE (within 6 months)
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening
