American Pacific Mortgage Corporation is seeking an entry-level Security Analyst I to support day-to-day operations of the information security program in the Sacramento area. Under supervision, you will assist with security alert monitoring, vulnerability and patch management, and security reporting.

The role is designed for individuals with foundational IT and cybersecurity knowledge who wish to develop a career in security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 0–2 years in cybersecurity or related field.
• Foundational cybersecurity concepts.
• Ability to follow established escalation procedures.
• Strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and triage security alerts generated by monitoring platforms and security tools.
• Assist with vulnerability and patch management program.
• Support security configuration monitoring and compliance reporting.
• Document security events and incidents with proper records.
• Coordinate remediation with MSP and internal teams.
• Support security awareness and regulatory/compliance tasks.
