Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota seeks a Physical Security Specialist to join our Corporate Safety & Security team. You will monitor SOC systems, manage access controls, respond to incidents, and support visitor management with a professional, service-oriented approach.

You will collaborate with emergency services and internal teams to protect people and assets while ensuring a safe, welcoming workplace for associates, visitors, and partners.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification from American Red Cross.
• Strong situational awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using security platforms to identify and mitigate risk.
• Experience in physical security, access control, monitoring or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate SOC systems, report safety concerns and breaches.
• Receive, triage calls, dispatch staff, and direct inquiries per processes.
• Respond to security issues and emergencies with emergency services and teams.
• Manage access permissions, video, key management, and cardholder records.
• Welcome visitors and maintain a secure, professional reception area.
• Coordinate with security and safety teams to maintain business continuity.
