Job summary

TrendMicro's TrendAI unit in Austin seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Security Ontology team. You will guide data and software engineers to build, scale, and operate foundational knowledge systems that enable AI agents to understand security context and power intelligent security experiences.

You will own the ontology engineering roadmap, semantic modeling, knowledge graph services, and memory integration, partnering with Product, Security, and AI/ML teams to deliver scalable,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems or data-intensive platforms.
• Proven track record leading software/data teams delivering multi-team initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ontology platform engineering roadmap and cross-team delivery.
• Oversee Security Knowledge Graph, Ontology API, and services layer.
• Drive data ingestion, transformation, mapping, and semantic publishing.
• Mentor engineers, establish standards, and improve developer productivity.
