Job summary

SSC, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to join our team in Connecticut. The role involves patrolling designated areas, monitoring for security and safety hazards, and responding to emergencies to protect clients and property.

The ideal candidate will have a CT State Security Officer License, at least one year of security experience, and strong customer service and communication skills. This is a full-time position with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• CT State Security Officer License/Registration.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

This is a Full Time position, working varied shifts and varied days of the week . Our Security Floaters are proficient and strive to support our Company’s sole purpose which is to protect and secure the businesses we serve. We are seeking individuals capable of monitoring, analyzing and identifying situations and determining the best approach to resolve the situations they encounter. Ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, customer service skills, impressive ability to communicate well with other, and ability to think critically in any situation.

Job Information: Full Time

Must have be available to work any shifts-both Weekdays and Weekends (24/7) $21 to $23/hr

Specific Duties and Job Functions:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas by foot, bike or vehicle.
• Observe for any conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Respond to emergency situations and/or alarms and contact appropriate emergency services based upon situation.
• Monitor for the presence of unauthorized persons
• Maintain access control of premises and monitors entrances and exits
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide high level of customer service and assistance to clients, client employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (must present document)
• 21 years of age or older
• Minimum one (1) year of Security experience,
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Must posses a CT State Issued License as Security Officer
• Be able to pass a drug screen
• Have valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Good working knowledge of Security Operations.
• Understanding of Safety Practices in a Business environment.
• Ability to provide high level of Customer Service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be computer proficient
• Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with the public and co-workers, giving and receiving instructions
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work in various environments including but not limited to adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, heat.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to manage stressful situations and maintain their own composure throughout.
