Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer / X-Ray Baggage Screener in Austell, GA. You will provide customer service and operate screening equipment at a logistics and distribution location. Schedule: Sat and Sun 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Pay: $16.33/hour. You will screen personnel/vehicles, monitor entry/exit points, report incidents, and perform patrols.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while enforcing site procedures.
• Conduct screening of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and belongings.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct screening of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures and applicable access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
