Job summary

Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a part-time security officer for weekend nights (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, visitors and property, and screen people entering the facility.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: CPR (American Heart Association BLS), IAHS&S, Defensive Tactics, ASP Tactical Baton, Taser (certifications within 1 year).
• Driver's license with satisfactory driving record (Georgia, no more than six unsafe points in 24 months).
• Experience: Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred.
• Special Qualifications: Professional appearance, language, and attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors and property.
• Screen individuals entering the facility as part of access control.

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current State of Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than six Trinity Health unsafe driving points within a 24-month period).
• Must obtain certifications in:
• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR)*
• International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security*
• Defensive Tactics**
• ASP Tactical Baton**
• Taser**
• *Certification required within one year of employment.
• **Annual recertification required.
• Experience:
• Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred.
• Healthcare security experience is a plus.
• Special Qualifications:
• Professional appearance, language, and attitude required.
