Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a reliable Truck Gate Security Officer to support access control, trailer verification, and patrol duties at our Lynchburg facility. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and adherence to site procedures during the 3rd shift on weekends.

The position is part-time, 10pm–6am Saturdays and Sundays, with Benefits including medical, life and vision insurance, 401k, and paid vacation; reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent observation and communication abilities.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify truck and trailer information before entry/exit.
• Check trailer seals and shipping data matches records.
• Control site access for authorized personnel only.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property and assigned areas.
• Observe activity and report suspicious or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and security equipment.
• Prepare incident reports and activity logs clearly.
• Assist with emergency response procedures when needed.
• Maintain communication with supervisors during shift.
• Support safety standards and procedures at all times.
• Work in a front desk environment when required.

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dependable Truck Gate Security Officer to support daily security operations at an active facility in Lynchburg. This role is focused on access control, trailer verification, patrol duties, and maintaining site security procedures throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and comfortable working in an industrial or logistics-based environment where accuracy and professionalism are important.

Primary Duties

• Verify truck and trailer information before entry and exit
• Check trailer seals and confirm shipping information matches site records
• Control facility access and allow entry to authorized personnel only
• Conduct routine patrols throughout the property and assigned areas
• Observe site activity and report suspicious behavior or unsafe conditions
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and security equipment as assigned
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and activity logs
• Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary
• Maintain communication with supervisors and site contacts during the shift
• Support company safety standards and security procedures at all times
• Will be required to work in a front desk environment
