Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Weekday Mornings in Jersey City, NJ. You will safeguard healthcare facilities by managing access points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors and staff in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role requires excellent customer service, clear communication, and the ability to patrol and monitor assigned areas. A minimum of 1 year security experience and valid credentials are preferred, with drive for professional growth and reliable

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control and customer service at a healthcare location following site policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, and issue visitor passes.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly; notify site contacts or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct patrols of access points, building areas, and parking areas to deter unauthorized entry.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
• Report policy violations, unauthorized access attempts, equipment concerns, and other security-related observations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
