Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Warehouse Patrol in Ontario, CA. This full-time role involves patrolling a distribution site, assisting visitors, and maintaining a secure environment with a strong customer-service focus.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour, with evenings and overnight shifts listed. The position emphasizes safety, alertness, and clear communication while utilizing onsite computer or tablet

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Guard card/license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates while following site security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, control access, and document observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols across the distribution location including perimeter, parking, docks, and warehouse entry points.
• Monitor and verify credentials for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers per site protocols.
• Report suspicious activity or hazards to supervision to deter unauthorized activity.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM
• Tue 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM
• Wed 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM
• Thur 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM
• Fri 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including the business perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and/or warehouse access points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers; verify credentials and follow site protocols for controlled access.
• Report suspicious activity, property concerns, and security-related hazards to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
