Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Badge Authentication Patrol in Wilmington, MA. You will protect clients across aerospace/defense locations by patrolling, controlling access, and maintaining a visible, courteous presence.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Ages 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, offices, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, deliveries, and contractors per site policies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and activity documentation; maintain awareness of restricted areas and support site access compliance.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and activity documentation; maintain awareness of restricted areas and support compliance with site access requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
