Allied Universal in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Security Officer Visitor Screening for a part-time, fixed-schedule role at a logistics site. You will provide customer service, monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain records while supporting safety and security operations.

This position offers a pay rate of $21.70 per hour with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More program, and the role is designed to accommodate flexible hours up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, including directing drivers and coordinating entry and exit procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
