Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a front desk for tenants, visitors, and employees.
• Verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records.
• Direct guests, vendors, deliveries, and service personnel with a professional front-desk presence.
• Monitor lobby, access points, alarms and communicate issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established safety procedures and involve emergency services when needed.

As a Security Officer Visitor Management Desk in Weehawken, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor visitor entry, verify identification and/or appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site policies.
• Receive and direct guests, vendors, deliveries, and service personnel while maintaining a professional, courteous, and welcoming front‑desk presence.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, and security‑related communications; report unusual conditions or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and contacting emergency services or site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
