Job Description

As a Security Officer Visitor Entry Driver in Mc Intosh, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and applicable emergency response protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting access to designated areas of the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
