Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Elk River, MN to protect client sites, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service. This unarmed patrol position focuses on safety, adherence to site policies, and clear communication with clients and colleagues.

You'll conduct routine patrols, verify credentials, report observations, and support emergency procedures at an aerospace/defense location.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required per policy.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and policy compliance at an aerospace/defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, and parking areas.
• Monitor for hazards and unauthorized access; report observations through documentation procedures.
• Support access control by verifying credentials and directing visitors.

Pay Rate: $26.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, potential hazards, and unauthorized access, and report observations through required communication and documentation procedures.
• Support access control activities by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and escalating access concerns to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
