Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol in San Diego, CA to protect residents and visitors at a residential community. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service using tablet tools and onsite procedures.

The role requires a valid driver's license, comfortable computer use, and strong customer service. Full-time schedule with alternating day shifts and a focus on safety and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and observe activity in accordance with access-control procedures.
• Document patrol activities and incidents and communicate information to site management and responders as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and resident activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
