Job summary

Meow Wolf in Grapevine, Texas is seeking a Security Officer to support the Safety & Security team. You will patrol and inspect inside and outside the exhibit, protect against theft, vandalism, and injury, and maintain professional interactions with employees, guests, and vendors.

Applicants must have strong English communication, be available for all shifts including nights and weekends, and hold a Texas Level II Non-Commission Security Officer license.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English; verbal and written.
  • Full availability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills.
  • Solution oriented and willing to learn.
  • Texas Level II Non-Commission Security Officer license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Support security activities to safeguard assets, employees, guests, and visitors.
  • Maintain a daily positive interaction with guests and employees.
  • Respond to incidents including medical, Code of Conduct violations by guest, and alcohol/drug in nature.
  • Complete daily reports, incident reports, and other written/electronic documentation as required.
  • Escort employees and security vendors for money pickups and drop-offs.

Job Description:

Meow Wolf is a social impact art project that fuels a business, and a business that fuels a social impact art project. We create immersive and interactive experiences that transport audiences into fantastic realms of story and exploration.

The Security Officer assists the Safety & Security Manager and Assistant Manager, Security in providing a safe and secure work environment. Promotes good working relations through courteous, helpful, and professional contact with employees, guests, and vendors/contractors. Responsible for securing the premises and personnel by patrolling and inspecting inside and outside of the exhibit, protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, employee/ guest injury, illegal activity and/or inappropriate guest/employee activity in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

How you will do it…

  • Support security activities to safeguard Company assets, employees, guests, and visitors.

  • Maintain a daily positive interaction with guests and employees.

Work environment & physical demands…

  • Variable Role: This is a part time variable position. There is no set schedule or availability of hours. Work is offered to those who are available to accept it. Shifts will be communicated and once accepted, shifts must be worked as assigned, in compliance with company policy.

  • Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.

  • Position, move, and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Remain stationary for prolonged periods.

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments to include tight spaces.
