Job summary

UPMC Wellsboro is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Security Officer. The role primarily runs 7pm–7am with weekend rotation to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff across UPMC properties.

Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and providing customer service. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered for a two-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations or monitoring is a plus.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in emergencies.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Staff fixed posts to monitor ingress and egress to secured areas.
• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff to maintain a safe environment.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and coordinate with security personnel as needed.
• Maintain required certifications and licensing as applicable.
• Assist with traffic control and vehicle-related duties.
• Transport deceased to morgue or relay bodies from morgue as required.
• Patrol hospitals, buildings, grounds and adjacent areas to deter crime and document activities.
• Report incidents and suspicious activities using proper reporting procedures.

UPMC Wellsboro has an opening for a Full-Time Night Shift Security Officer role. This position will work primarily 7p-7a and will require a weekend rotation.

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and all UPMC owned and adjacent properties. Establish a uniformed security presence by patrolling UPMC hospitals, buildings, grounds and associated areas to deter criminal activity, document activities, and contact UPMC Police Officers or other appropriate law enforcement when necessary. Monitors security, fire, and environmental alarms. Responds to and resolves problems, disputes and unusual circumstances as necessary. Provides customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment. Document incidents on appropriate reports as required.

• Complete all mandatory training programs per departmental guidelines
