Carnegie Mellon University's Police Department (UPD) is searching for Security Officers who are highly motivated and eager to serve the CMU community! Core Responsibilities

1. Conduct watchperson rounds of campus buildings to ensure safety and security
2. Report suspicious activity, persons, and conditions immediately
3. Provide escorts to students, staff, and faculty
4. Assist campus police officers
5. Provide general information to university personnel and visitors
6. Perform foot patrols in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior security experience preferred

Requirements

• Successful background check
• Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
• Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• Credit check
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

• This is a full-time position based in Pittsburgh, PA.
