Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - University Campus in Clearwater, FL. This part-time role involves monitoring campus grounds, assisting with access control, and providing courteous service to students, staff and visitors.

You will perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, and document activities using a tablet or computer. The schedule includes evening shifts, offering flexible hours and opportunities to earn more through our shift-claim platform.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $18.22 / Hour

• Thur: 11:59 PM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 11:59 PM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 11:59 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel and document incidents accurately.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, directions, and other campus support functions as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
