Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Santa Clara, CA to provide resident and visitor security, patrol property, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will deliver courteous customer service, report observations, and support site management while working with a flexible weekend schedule and the company’s Shift-Claim platform to pick additional shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and staff by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout residential communities to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directing residents, guests, and vendors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports and maintain clear communication with site management and leadership.

As a Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and clear communication while reporting observations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM, Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential communities, including building exteriors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; assist with directing residents, guests, delivery personnel, and vendors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports and maintain clear communication with site management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
