Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Salisbury, MA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and report concerns in accordance with site procedures.

This full-time role pays $21.21 per hour and requires meeting basic requirements with potential CPR/First Aid certification. On-site shifts are scheduled several days a week, with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including entrances, sales areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and other security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

• Wed: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sat: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including entrances, sales areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and other security‑related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
