Job summary

Allied Universal Westborough, MA is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect client locations with a strong emphasis on customer service. The role involves monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting patrol activities.

You will operate at a tech/media/telecom site, supporting a safe and welcoming environment. The position offers full-time hours with a pay rate of $20.44 per hour and a schedule that includes daytime and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Employee/customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for personnel and authorized guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol in Westborough, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
