Job summary

Allied Universal in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Roving Patrol to protect client facilities across various industries. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, are at least 18 years old, and are comfortable using computers or tablets; CPR/First Aid and alarm panel experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and report access-control issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site management and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while presenting a professional, customer-focused presence in a technology and telecommunications environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
