Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Rover) in Boston, MA. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist with access control and deliver excellent customer service to employees and visitors. Requires at least two years in security and a high school diploma. Valid driver’s license only for driving roles.

Pay is $22.05/hour. Schedule: DayTime Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sun 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial services location following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report/escalate as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and credential verification.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and activities for leadership.

You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while using technology to document activity and support daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, credential verification, and access control procedures in accordance with site requirements.


• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
