Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Route Driver) in Hattiesburg, MS. You will deliver security services, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and a background-based screening. It offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth within Allied Universal’s security team.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business location, interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials, provide directions, and document entries, exits, and incidents as required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $12.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
