Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Corrections Security Officer - Site Access in Columbia, SC. This full-time, on-site role focuses on guarding clients and controlling access within a dynamic, collaborative workplace.

You will patrol the site, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document events while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

As a Corrections Security Officer - Site Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations and daily activities through required reports and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
