Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol with Active Clearance for full-time work. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

Minimum requirements include at least one year of security experience and an active DoD Secret clearance; a guard card and CPR/First Aid are preferred. You must be 18+ and able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unusual activity per site procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
