Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Support. You will monitor retail locations, assist customers, and maintain a visible security presence across shifts.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $14.25 per hour. You will perform routine patrols, document observations, and support a welcoming environment while upholding Allied Universal values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required before or after employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following site procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the store, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to site management.
• Complete daily activity reports and required documentation per Allied Universal policies.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Support in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and team members with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
