Allied Universal, a leading security provider, seeks an Unarmed Security Officer in Newark, CA. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe, secure environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while following site procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle access points, parking areas, trailers, docks, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow emergency procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, observations, incidents, and access-related events in reports and shift logs.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help support a secure, welcoming logistics and distribution location through routine patrols, access monitoring, and professional communication. Pay Rate: $23.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Tue: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Fri: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle access points, parking areas, trailers, docks, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, observations, incidents, and access-related events through accurate reports and shift logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
