Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Risk Mitigation to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees.

This full-time role requires 2+ years in law enforcement or related fields, a high school diploma, and the ability to follow procedures, document incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, shoppers, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas and entrances.
• Monitor access points and report hazards and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to store associates, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
