Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Preparedness in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and visitor records.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
