Job summary

Allied Universal® in Grove City, OH is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to patrol and safeguard a logistics and distribution site. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible presence, and respond to site needs with integrity and professionalism.

The role is full-time with a daytime and overnight schedule. You will monitor access, perform routine and random patrols, and document activities in reports while upholding a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; subject to federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state or locality.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and vehicle entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
