Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Observation in Boise, ID. You will provide customer service to staff and visitors while patrolling and monitoring access points at a technology-focused site.

Your role includes responding to incidents, maintaining logs, and coordinating with site leadership to uphold safety and a welcoming environment. This is a full-time, night-shift position.

Qualifications

• Provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors.
• Perform unarmed patrols and monitor assigned areas per site rules.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Document activities accurately in logs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry processes in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate activity logs and required documentation.
• Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and responding agencies as needed while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology environment.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
