Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in West Chester, OH. You will guard healthcare locations, provide customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, reporting, and coordinating with site leadership. Minimum 2 years in security and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs and shift communications per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
