Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver Operations) in Santa Clara, CA. The position offers full-time hours and a pay rate of $29.30 per hour.

You will maintain a visible presence, follow site procedures, and respond calmly to incidents while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to safety and service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted as per laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report hazards or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and document entries, incidents, and observations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Support protection of technology assets, facilities, and personnel with professional presence and reporting procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as assigned, and document entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Support the protection of technology assets, facilities, and personnel by maintaining a professional presence and following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
