Job summary

Allied Universal in Bangor, ME is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer/Patrol Driver to monitor, patrol, and control access at an industrial site. You will deliver excellent customer service while complying with site policies. A valid driver’s license is required, and driving duties are a core part of the role.

This full-time night-shift position (Fri–Sun) offers scheduling flexibility, incident response, and professional presence to deter issues and support a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories may be considered.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements as state/local law may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing operations and facility areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; document observations and notify site contacts and responders as required.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. • Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing operations, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify designated site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while supporting a professional environment at an industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
