Job summary

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Support in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support residents and visitors with professional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, building exteriors, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the property, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
