Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer, Patrol Alarm Technician in San Francisco, CA. You will provide security and customer service across hotel and resort environments, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and document incidents.

The role emphasizes professionalism, clear communication, and teamwork in a dynamic security team. The position is full-time with a schedule spanning evenings and weekends, requiring CPR/First Aid familiarity and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to guest concerns and incidents in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, hallways, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation and communicate with hotel management and staff.

Pay Rate: $27.06 / Hour

• Wed 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, hallways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with hotel management, staff, guests, and responding emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
