Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Credential Support in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, students, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational and religious location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report suspicious persons, conditions, and activities to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
