Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for Milpitas, CA. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, assist employees and visitors, and maintain a visible, friendly presence while delivering excellent customer service in a tech-focused environment.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or GED, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and activities and communicate to leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
