Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a technology-focused site. You will provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience required.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
