Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Arlington, VA, for a part-time role with a $21.75 per hour pay rate. You will monitor assigned areas, patrol interior and exterior spaces, deter incidents, respond to alarms, manage access control, and deliver customer service to employees and visitors.

You will help ensure safe, secure operations at a technology-focused corporate location, follow site protocols, and collaborate with the team to maintain a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures, including verifying credentials and directing guests.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures, including verifying credentials, directing guests, and documenting relevant activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
