Allied Universal in Miami Shores, FL is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control to protect campus clients across a range of facilities. You will monitor entrances, patrol buildings, and provide courteous service to students, staff, and visitors, while maintaining a visible security presence.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Miami Shores, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious persons, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
