Pay Rate: $21.22 / Hour. Schedule includes Mon/Tue/Fri nights, with opportunities to scale hours across sites.

Qualifications

• Vaccination as required by the site.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check conducted under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures and location policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to protocols and notify appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, directions, and monitoring entry points as required by location.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to supervisors and hospital personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Wakefield, RI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, directions, and monitoring of authorized entry points in accordance with location‑specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and hospital personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
