As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be the first point of contact for those on site, responding to inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.95 / Hour

What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on duty.
Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related activities and incidents.
Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
